Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Op. Dr. Burak Özköse, a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, was born on March 20, 1986 in Isparta, Turkey. He is the eldest child of a nurse mother and a tradesman father, and has a younger sister who is a teacher. He started his education at Gazi Primary School and completed his secondary education at Isparta National Piyango Anatolian High School, followed by his high school education at Isparta Science High School. After receiving his medical degree from Ankara University in 2011, he served a brief period of mandatory service at Kastamonu Sherife Baci Women and Children's Hospital. In early 2012, he started his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital. In 2016, he worked as an assistant resident at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Northern Gynaeoncological Centre in New Castle, England, for laparoscopic surgery training. Upon completing his 4-year residency training, he began his mandatory service as an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist at Beylikdüzü State Hospital. During his 2-year tenure there, he served as the head physician of the hospital's Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic, ward, and delivery room. He also helped establish the hospital's delivery room department, which became the busiest delivery hospital in the region. He performed many of the first laparoscopic surgeries in the region as well. In March 2018, he started working at the Women's Health and Obstetrics Clinic of Özel Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital as a doctor and teaching staff member of Yeniyüzyıl University to advance in his academic career. Currently, he is still carrying out this duty and has an advanced level of English proficiency. His name appears in numerous national and international scientific articles.
